Tokkun TV Art Channel - Indiegogo

Hey Guys,

I'm very proud to announce that I will be part of a new bold and interesting project from Tokkun Studio's / Tokkun Academy.

They are starting an 'Art School TV Channel' and it's going to be epic. They've successfully started an online academy for beginning concept artists, illustrators, 3D modelers, etc and now they are taking it to a new level in the form of the first TV art channel in the world.

The idea behind this art school tv channel is to give people the opportunity to learn art, together with it's tools and trades, wherever and whenever they want. So that they can grow in their craft!

It's a pretty ambitious project and we're going to need your support to make it happen. So if you feel like helping us getting project to fruition then head on over to our Indiegogo page for some more info and show us some love by either donating or sharing our page with your friends!

Thanks for the support everyone!

Oddworld

Here’s an illustration I did about a week ago for the Artistic Indie Game Expo called Free To Play (http://freetoplay2014.be/). They asked for some form of fan art, so I made the obvious choice to take Oddworld. Simply put, I wouldn’t be doing my job without having played the oddworld games. I was completely in love with the whole visual language of the game and spend ours upon ours drawing Abe and all the other characters in my sketchbooks. Those where some of the very first drawings I made in my live. So Thank you Oddworld Inhabitants.

For those of you not in the know, Just Add Water (Developments) Ltd andLorne Lanning are currently remaking Abe’s Oddysee in HD with some mighty impressive results, if you haven’t already go check it out:http://www.oddworld.com/

I can’t wait to play it!

Cotton Candy Tree

I finally got the OK to share a background painting I did for the current project I'm working on!!!

This one is still a work in progress (the trees in the background give it away). There are about 50 more of these to come, some of them will be animated too! Pretty straight forward work but absolutely a lot of fun and learning tons in the process of making them. I can't wait to show you guys more of these!

I love painting backgrounds ! ! !

Cheers,

Brun

Children's Book Kas

Hi reader!

I spent the better part of november illustrating my first children's (kids) book. It's written by the well know Flemish children's books author Brigitte Minne and published by Abimo publishing. A little bit of a challenge drawing for kids but I think I managed to find a way to get away with it while still maintaining my own 'style' (don't really like that word). Anyways it was tons of fun to do and a good experience that thought me a lot of things! I'm afraid it's dutch only at the moment, but international languages shouldn't be too far of! The Book is called KAS and it will be available February 3rd in most Belgian book stores and on the abimo site too of course.

I'll make sure to post a bit more teasers of the inside illustrations in a few days. In the meantime here is the cover for the book:

Big Update

Hey Guys,

So I've been absent for quite a while (again) because of work / projects / personal live, you name it! Here are a few updates. For those of you who would like to see more regular updates, I would like to redirect you to my tumblr, facebook or twitter. Most of these are tests for upcoming projects (yay!) or cancelled projects (Meh!)

As always, Click to enlarge:

...

Here's something a bit different! As some of you might know I'm also active as a musician performing with my band KOBALT! We recently released our first EP which is available over here (download or order): http://kobalt27.bandcamp.com

The EP needed a cover of course, which I provided. I wanted to step away from my regular work and do something that's a lot different then my usual work. At the time I was quite busy playing around with a game engine called Unity3D, which inspired me to make the following isometric image that we used for the EP.

...

So in my previous post I spoke about HAPHAZARD, my personal exhibition. The exhibition had a great opening and was a great experience A few newspapers (such as Gazet Van Antwerpen) interviewed me which was quite the trill!

Until next time!

HAPHAZARD - EXHIBITION

Hi Guys,

It's been a while since I've last updated this place (again... Guilty as charged). However, I have tons of stuff lying around, so I'm going to try to put those illustrations online in the coming weeks, promise!

On to the next topic:

I'm having an exhibition here in Belgium at MEKANIKSTRIP displaying a bunch of illustrations (old and new). It's called HAPHAZARD and I would love to invite all of you. The opening night is 20th of June and the exhibition runs until the 22th of July. I hope to see you there!
